The President of the Pakata Area Development Association (PADA), Mallam Muritala Alowonle, has urged prominent indigenes of the Ubandawaki Ward in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State to assist children of the less-privileged towards acquiring quality education.

Mallam Alowonle made this appeal over the weekend while distributing educational empowerment support to 30 secondary school students from across the ward as sponsored by the Chief of Staff to the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon.Muhammad Funsho Abdullahi, at Pakata Multipurpose Hall, Ilorin.

The community leader, who also appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s efforts in the educational development of the community, said that it is only through that kind of support that the number of out of school children can be reduced and thereby prepared the young ones for a very purposeful and secured future as he said that no government can do all.

The President urged the beneficiaries, who were selected from various parts of the ward, to make effective use of the opportunity by facing their studies squarely.

Mallam Alowonle thanked Honourable Abdullahi for his patriotism and generousity as he expressed the hope that he would do more for the ordinary people of the ward and beyond.
