The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Abdulwahab Egbewole has unveiled a billboard to commence activities marking the 50th year anniversary of the university.
He made the unveiling on Monday (January 13, 2025) some few meters after entering the University gate where the billboard is situated.
Professor Egbewole while declaring the commencement of the celebration, engaged the media men in announcing some of the giant strides the university has made and also the challenges he has faced in the course of piloting the affairs of the university.
According to the Vice chancellor, the billboard was erected on the University Main Road to stimulate the consciousness of members of the University community and visitors to the institution about the preparedness of the management for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the existence and remarkable contributions of the University to human capital development.
The Billboard was mounted at the Staff Quarters Junction near the University Main Gate.
The Vice Chancellor was in the company of Principal Officers such as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Acadamics), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research Technology and Innovation), the University Librarian, the Busar , the University’s External Auditor and Director Advancement Centre.
