A Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara state, and convener of Renewed Pathfinder, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Hanafi has applauded President Bola Tinubu for his foreign Policy and his strategic thinking in handling the unfortunate coup d’etat in Republic of Niger.
Alhaji Hanafi made this known during an interaction with the Highprofile correspondent
According to him, Tinubu’s commendable effort was instrumental in forestalling the crisis in Niger which did not escalate to a war in the West Africa region.
He commended Tinubu’s pragmatic step that saved Nigeria from fighting unnecessary war with her neighbor that would have engulfed the entire West African countries.
“West Africa is already facing numerous lethal and non-lethal wars which include insurgency, terrorism, banditary etc), widespread poverty, environmental problems, neo-colonialism, bad governance, curruption among others” he said.
He noted that Nigeria as a country more than ever needs peace to solve her numerous economic challenges which the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President intends to solve.
Hanafi said the APC administration efforts in building strong economic ties needed to improve our trade and commerce to improve the welfare of the people.
He urged the president to ensure that the ECOWAS remain intact and more vibrant to achieve it’s objectives as contained in it’s Charter and envisaged by the founding fathers.
Speaking on the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA), Hanafi advised the Federal Government to carry all states Government in the country along in the pursuance of the advantages of the ACFTA.
The APC Chieftain advised both the federal and state government to fight rural and Urban poverty, terrorism inorder to improve productivity and make lives more meaningful for the citizenry.
