…organizes community health outreach programme

Rotary Club of Ilorin Prestige has organized a family funfair for members of the Club.

The funfair which was organized in line with the theme for the Rotary year: “Bonding to create hope”, had members of the Interact, Rotaract and Rotakids under the Rotary Club of Ilorin Prestige in attendance.

The programme featured games, painting, fitness among other interesting activities.

Speaking at the event which took place at Princess Luxury Hotel, Ilorin, the President of Rotary Club of Ilorin Prestige, Rotarian Kehinde Obaniyi said the programme was to awake the spirit of commitment of all chartered clubs under RC Ilorin Prestige.

Rotarian Obaniyi added the main reason for organizing the programme was to ensure that the Club is moving forward in terms of all the chartered clubs under the mother Club.

“As far as RC Ilorin Prestige is concerned, we have a lot of sub-chartered clubs like Rotaract of Ilorin Prestige, Rotaract Club of Offa Metropolitan, Interact Club of Federal Government College, Ogidi and Rotakids. All these are sub-clubs chartered by RC Ilorin Prestige.

“The main important of the programme is to see that these clubs are functioning as far as this new Rotary year is concerned.

“In this Rotary year, the theme is to create hope in the world. Our main objective is to ensure that all the clubs chartered by our Club are also doing the same by making sure that they are also creating hope in the world by bringing newness and setting a good pace.

“This is the main reason for organizing this funfair to make sure that all the chartered clubs come together and we conduct a family meeting for everybody to understand that we are in a new Rotary year so that we can all bring in individuals strategical plans and agenda for this new Rotary year and how to actualize them”.

The President said the Club would ensure that Rotakids carry out a lot of projects in this Rotary year.

“During the literacy month, we want to make sure these kids do a lot of quiz competition and other projects through which the kids would be able to enjoy themselves and have funfair. Also, we still have plan for Rotakids to do some tangible community projects so that people would know that Rotakids of RC Ilorin Prestige exists”.

The programme also featured inauguration of Board of Directors of Rotakids for the new Rotary year led by the President, Obaniyi Peace Ifeoluwa, Vice President, Sarumi Al-hameen, Secretary, Sanusi Meimunat among others.
