The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the forthcoming Governorship and House of Assembly Elections in Kwara State, Magaji Oba Abdulkadir has called on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to as a matter of priority be time conscious and do everything humanly possible to record a credible, acceptable and hitch free voting exercise during the next March 11thpolls.
Abdulkadir who is riding on his late brother ticket, late Magaji Olawoyin, to contest for the state Assembly election, also urged the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to provide adequate security for people to exercise their civic responsibility without fear.
He disclosed this on Tuesday (February 28, 2023) while addressing journalists in Ilorin, the kwara state capital.
Abdulkadir parricularly implored INEC to ensure election process starts at the specified time in all polling units so that the collation exercise will be done under a good weather that will not require hiring generator to power light for the INEC officials.
The lawmaker candidate attributed the victories recorded across board by the APC in kwara State during the last Saturday election to the outstanding performance of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq in the state.
He explained that the massive turnout of the people that voted for the APC during the election was a manifestation and reflection of the love and affection kwarans have for the Governor and by extension the ruling party in the state, just as he appealed to all kwara residents to also vote massively for APC candidates across board in the next election.
Abdulkadir revealed further that his cardinal objectives will be to ensure his people are well taken care of particularly the widows and the less privileged within his first one hundred days in office.
