Hajj 2023: NAHCON releases allocation to states


The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released the 2023 Hajj allocation to the 36 State Pilgrims Welfare Boards.

Other agencies considered for the allocation after the end of the Exco meeting which ratified the allocation today, include agencies, commissions, FCT and the Armed Forces.

The seat allocation/ distribution, according to a statement signed by the NAHCON Assistant Director Information and Publications, Alh. Mousa Ubandawaki and made available to newsmen is as follows:

The statement explained that the allocation to Kogi State will be released after the conclusion of the ongoing review of its activities, while allocation of Akwa Ibom State was suspended due to non renewal of its operating licence.

Meanwhile, the NAHCON advised all the states to remit payment of 50% of the 2022 seat allocation to the Commission before the 10th of February deadline, stressing that non compliance with the deadline date will lead to reduction in allocation to such state.
