…..Charges Principals on dedication to duty
The Kwara State Commissioner for Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu has charged Principals in the state to be dedicated and be role models to their staff, just as she condemned the low turnout of students in some of the Secondary and Primary schools she visited in Ilorin.
Modibbo-Kawu disclosed this during the Inspection/Monitoring of School resumption for 2021/2022 Academic Session in Ilorin, today (September 20, 2021)
In her words, “punctuality and dedication to duty should be your priority in order to live by example to your staff and also the students you are naturing for future leadership”.
Hajia Modibbo according to a statement signed by the Press Secretary of the Ministry Yakub Kamaldeen Aliagan, and made available to the newsmen in Ilorin, chided boarding schools visited for not preparing breakfast for their students on time. She therefore encouraged them to stick with the time for breakfast as scheduled.
The Commissioner also implored parents and guardians to send their children back to school immediately, as academic work had commenced and it won’t be proper for students to miss classes.
“The 2021/2022 Academic Session has commenced but there is low turn out of students in the schools, most especially, boarding schools. I want to use this medium to implore parents and guardians to immediately send their wards to school as the school academic classes has commenced”.
The team visited over 90 schools from the 16 local government areas of the state on Monday, the first day of resumption in the state.
