The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Unilorin FM Chapel, has extended its warmest congratulations to the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr. AbdulGaniyu Kunle Akogun, on his nomination as the Akogun of Oke-Ode land.
In a press statement signed by its chairman, Mr. Tijani Adewoyin, the Chapel described Mr. Akogun’s nomination as a well-deserved recognition of his contributions to the community. The Chapel prayed that Mr. Akogun’s nomination would usher in a new era of joy and prosperity for Oke-Ode town, contributing to its growth and development.
While noting that his tireless efforts in advancing Oke-Ode town’s interests had been exemplary, marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence, the statement said the honour recognized Mr. Akogun’s outstanding contributions to the community and his dedication to promoting peace and development.
The Union said that, as Director of Corporate Affairs at the University of Ilorin and a member of Unilorin FM Chapel of NUJ, Mr. Akogun had demonstrated exceptional leadership and professional skills as a veteran journalist who had inspired countless individuals.
The Chapel added that his achievements inspired all staff of the Directorate and that members were confident he would excel in his new role, bringing distinction and honour to the position.
While noting that the Unilorin FM Chapel was proud to have Mr. Akogun as a member and respected elder, the Chapel wished Mr. Akogun well and prayed for God’s guidance and protection as he took on his new role.
