The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has congratulated Comrade Issa Obalowu Arem mni, on his appointment for a second term in office as the Director-General of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies,Ilorin.
In a statement signed by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim;and made available to The Highprofile News on Saturday (May 24, 2025),Alhaji Abdulmalik described the reappointment of Comrade Aremu as well-deserved.
The President said that the reappointment was a confirmation of the fact that Comrade Aremu has impressed the Federal Government in his first term in office.
Alhaji Abdulmalik, who commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for trusting Comrade Issa Aremu with the position again, encouraged the reappointed Director-General to continue to mobilise available human and material resources towards repositioning the Institute for better service delivery.
Alhaji Abdulmalik said that the Union was not unaware of the challenges of the Institute nevertheless urged Comrade Aremu to put the past behind him and pursue every meaningful means of making the outfit to become a toast of all through its improved training calendar, national and international linkages, youth entrepreneurship mass training and empowerment, increasing visibility and capacity to provide high quality training for the nation’s workforce more than ever before since its establishment by the administration of President Shehu Shagari in 1983.
The President wished Comrade Aremu a very peaceful and successful tenure.
