The Okete and Gbugudu communities, two, out of numerous neighboring communities to Kwara State University, were thrilled on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, when the university’s management, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, commissioned a solar-powered borehole in Okete Community. Additionally, a borehole was converted to solar power, and solar power was installed in Gbugudu Community.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by all principal officers and staff of the university’s Community Development Unit. This initiative fulfills KWASU’s mantra as a…the “Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship”.
