Kwara State Inaugurates Human Capital Development Council

The Kwara State Government has inaugurated the Human Capital Development (HCD) Council, a significant step towards achieving sustainable growth and development in the state.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Government House, was attended by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi, who delivered a keynote address. Other dignitaries present included the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Commissioner for Health, Commissioner for Business and Innovation, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Education and Housing.

In her remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals emphasized the importance of human capital development in driving progress.

 “The establishment of the HCD Council is a significant step in ensuring that no one is left behind as Kwara State charts a path toward sustainable development,” she stated.

She explained that the e council’s primary objective is to improve the quality of education, strengthen the healthcare system, and foster a skilled workforce to meet the demands of the modern economy.

The Kwara State government has reaffirmed its commitment to building a robust system that supports sustainable growth and development, ensuring that every citizen has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

The nauguration ceremony provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss strategies for collaboration and synergy in implementing policies that will drive human capital development in Kwara State.
