The Kwara State University (KWASU) community gathered to bid a fond farewell to Deacon Michael Dada, a devoted registry staff member who has retired after years of dedicated service.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Shaykh Luqman Jimoh praised Deacon Dada as a diligent, hardworking, and exceptional individual who has left an indelible mark on the institution.
Deacon Dada’s retirement marks the end of an era, as he is the first registry staff member to retire from KWASU.
Prof. Jimoh described Deacon Dada as a “dictionary of the Kwasu registry,” highlighting his vast wealth of experience and knowledge.
The Vice Chancellor announced that Deacon Dada will be retained in the system on contract to continue mentoring and guiding future generations.
The reception held in Deacon Dada’s honor was described as “remarkable” and “epoch-making” by Prof. Jimoh.
He expressed gratitude to the registry unit for organizing the event, saying it reflects the celebrant’s positive impact on the system.
