NOA DG pledges national value enlightenment programmes for students

The Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu, has promised to provide comprehensive national value enlightenment programs for Nigerian students.

This commitment was announced in a statement posted on the NOA-verified X account (formerly Twitter) during an event at the Vice President of National Affairs, Mohammed Sabo, on Saturday (March 30, 2024).

Issa-Onilu was honoured as the ‘five-star aluta general’ by the National Association of Nigerian Students during the ceremony, which was attended by the Senior Special Assistant to Students Engagement, Sunday Ashefun, and conducted by the Senate Clerk of the NAN, Oladimeji Uthman.

According to the statement, Issa-Onilu expressed his gratitude for the recognition from NAN and assured that he will introduce enlightenment programs for students.

He said, “I thanked the NANS for the honour and pledged to unfold programmes aimed at enlightening students on national values and other programmes of government.”
