The Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly and the Turaki of Ilorin, Mallam Saliu Mustapha on Friday (March 25, 2024) paid a condolence visit to the family of a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Usman Bibire Ajape to sympathize with him over the death of his mother, Alhaja Muneerah Alake Ajape at his Adewole residence.
Mustapha who landed at Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport around 10:45am went straight to the residence of Alh Ajape to condole him on the demise of his mother.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the misdeeds of late Alhaja Muneerah Ajape and grant her al-janat fridaus, saying that the late mother would be remembered for her good deeds.
The legislator also paid a condolence visit to the family of late first Attorney General and Commissioner for
justice in Kwara State, Alh Alarape Salman (SAN)describing him as a trailblazer in law practice.
While sympathizing with the immediate and extended family of the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mustapha said the late legal luminary who is admirably referred to as “Doyen of SANs” impacted positively in the lives of many people, especially ilorites.
While offering prayer for the deceased, the Turaki of Ilorin urged his children to emulate the good deeds of their late father and work together towards sustaining the legacy left behind by the late legal Icon.
Mustapha therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings as a mortal, repose his soul and grant him Al-Janah Firdaus.
At the residence of late seasoned educator and foremost administrator, Alh Hamidu Gambari Erubu, the Turaki of Ilorin described the transition of the distinguished financial technocrat as most shocking and unexpected.
Mustapha condoled with the immediate and extended family of the late Alh Hamidu Erubu, particularly the Chairman of Education Committee of Saliu Mustapha Foundation and Secretary-General of Ilorin Emirate Professors’ Association, Professor Binta Ajibola Suleiman, and prayed Almighty Allah to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
In a brief sermon, an Islamic cleric, Alh Ahmad Tijani, said late Alh Hamidu Erubu lived a life worthy of emulation and contributed a lot to the propagation of Islam.
Alh Tijani appreciated the Turaki of Ilorin for the visit and described him as a man of the people that has been contributing immensely to the welfare of the people of the state, particularly people of Kwara Central.
He prayed Allah to guide and guard the legislator in the discharge of his constitutional responsibilities.
