The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Kwara State Unit, has presented scholarship award to some indigent university students in a bid to assisting them in their academic pursuit.
The MSSN doled out the sum of
N650,000 as scholarship to 3 benefitting students.
Two of the beneficiaries are students of Kwara State University, Malete, while third one is a student of University of Ilorin.
Speaking about the gesture on the sideline of the 2nd symposium organized in memory of late Justice Abdulkadir Orire (CON), the Amir Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Kwara Area Unit, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulMumin, said the gesture was to aid financial difficulting facing the beneficiaries.
He explained that the sum of N650,000 was disbursed to the beneficiaries to cater for their school fees and hostel accommodation.
The Amir appreciated those that have contributed in one way or the other towards the presentation of the scholarship to the benefitting students.
“We appreciate all that donated to the scheme, to mention but few; Muslim Education Forum of the United Kingdom, Imam Yahya Foundation, Fiqh Forum among others. We pray Allah to reward you all abundantly”.
