Kwara Poly disclaims suspected killers of club owner

The Management of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has disclaimed the two females who were suspected murderers of the Kwara State club owner, Adiniyi Ojo.

The school Registrar, according to a statement released on Thursday, by the school Public Relations Officer, Halimat Garba, described his students as good ambassadors of the school and the state.

The news claiming that the suspects are Kwara Poly students has been circulated online following the suspect’s parade by the Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

The statement read, “ The Management wishes to disclaim this discrediting and malicious news about the institution, stating that the suspects being paraded in Abuja by the force PRO are not our students.

“The Polytechnic Management wishes to state categorically that its students are good ambassadors of the polytechnic, the state and Nigeria at large and will never indulge in such acts.

“ Thus, the suspect’s claim is untrue, baseless and a figment of their imagination to drag the name of the ever-peaceful institution to the mud”.

According to the statement, the school stakeholders thereby advise journalists to verify news before reporting it.

“Therefore, all stakeholders of the Polytechnic and members of the press are advised to always verify anything tagged with the Polytechnic before circulating,” the statement added.
