The Action Alliance (AA) has taken a swipe at Barr. Kalu Kalu Agu over his disparaging comments on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that his comments on President Bola Hammed Tinubu shows that he lacks courtesy.
Describing Kalu as an impersonator, the party said the outburst of the politician in an interview was uncouth and expressed worry on why a man who has shady records and questionable precedence would result to public harassment on the person of the President.
National chairman of the AA, Dr Adekunle Rufai Omoaje in a statement made available to highPROFILE said the outburst of Kalu was unexpected of a man whose records are full of shady deals.
Omoaje said “a situation where you have an undercover and supposed legal mind getting himself involved in unprofessional acts of cutting corners with abuse of court processes involving filing cases in the name of clients without briefs, then interrogation of such conducts deserves diligent attention.
“Few days ago, our attention was drawn to an interview on a frontline television station where an impersonator attempted feigning the ubiquitous mind of justice in an attempt to earn pounds for porridge cashing in on the trending news in town.
“Watching a presumed legal mind disparaging the president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu riding on the nonexistent time and resource wasting matters concerning the Chicago State University saga, we were appalled at the level of deception displayed in that interview.
“We in Action Alliance can say without mincing words that Barr. Kalu Kalu Agu does not, and has not earned any level of moral pedigree to go to the market place like he did telling the world that he has an understanding of moral value. This is the same man that used various unprofessional sharp practices to file cases in the name of our party without briefs from us, only to go and withdraw the same having negotiated for undue and undeserved sleaze proceed like a quisling.
“It was to our findings that a team of unprofessional, confused and desperate lawyers filed frivolous suits against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima on grounds that they are not qualified candidates worthy of being on the ballot.
“In view of the dubious acts of Barr Kalu Kalu Agu, we filed various applications at the Federal High Court ( Abuja Division) as interested parties and got judgements against him.
“Just to mention a few. Barr. Kalu Kalu Agu filed a Federal High Court case no:FHC/ABJ/CS/1256/2022, Action Alliance vrs INEC, APC & BOLA TINUBU and ors, without any brief from the Action Alliance. In another matter also at the Federal High Court in suite no. FHC/ABJ/CS/1154/2022 Action Alliance vrs INEC, NNPP, RABIU MUSA KWAKWANSO and ors without any brief from the party as well. He filed these cases for the purpose of winning personal aggrandizement from respondents at the expense of the party without being engaged.
“It took the last-minute effort of the party upon getting wind of the suites in there pendency to get the cases struck out based on submission that he was never briefed by the party to file such matters. The same Kalu Kalu Agu who the court slammed punitive cost of 1,000,000.00( One million Naira only) at the court of Hon. Justice Binta Nyako in Action Allinace vs INEC &6 ors (FHC/ABJ/CS/1256/2022) to be paid in the Treasury Single Account as punitive cost for the frivolous suits being filed by him and his cohorts in court, the court went further to state that he should be mindful of how he is been used by desperate politicians. As we speak, he has not paid the cost against him, Omoaje added.
He therefore urged members of the public to be wary of the activities of Agu and called on security agencies to beam their searchlight on him.
