The Information Communication Technology (ICT) University, Yaounde, Cameron has nominated the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji II for the endowed professorship award of the university.
The award is expected to be conferred on Oba Okunoye at the seventh commencement ceremony of the university holding on Saturday, 29th July, 2023.
In a letter of nomination signed by Prof. Victor Mbarika, the university acknowledged the roles played by the the Eburu of Iba in the education sector and the lofty heights he has attained in academics and ICT.
Specifically, the university indicates that the award tagged “ICT University Foundation USA and the ICT University system Endowed Professorship award in Information Communication Technology (ICT)” was in recognition of Oba Okunoye’s love for quality education and community development.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo who bagged the award in 2021 was among famous world leaders that have been honoured with the award in the past.
Oba Okunoye is expected to stand tall among other academics from across the world to receive the award on Saturday at the ICT University, Yaounde, Cameron at an event to be graced by eminent personalities and leaders of thought from all parts of the world.
