Chief Imam of Suleja dies few hours after  return from Hajj 

…as Niger records another death of female pilgrim

The Chief Imam of Suleja, in Niger state, Justice Shu’aib Tahir has reportedly died a day he returned from Saudi Arabia for the Hajj exercise. 

The deceased was the leader of Suleja Local Government pilgrims to the just concluded 2023 Hajj exercise

Similarly, another pilgrim from the Niger state, Hajia A’isha Alhassan, died on Monday (July 24, 2023) at King Faiz Hospital in Makkah.

Late Tahir, who was a frontline Islamic Scholar, and retired Upper Shari’a Court Judge in Niger State, died on Saturday (July 22, 2023) a day he returned home from the holy land for the 2023 Hajj exercise. 

The late Imam was an automatic member of Suleja Local Government Hajj committee. He was also a leader of Musabaqah, Quranic recitation  competition, Suleja Emirate to State and National  Competitions.

Meanwhile, in a statement signed by the Media Aide to the Executive Secretary, Niger State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board on Tuesday, (July 25, 2023), Mrs Hassana Isah, said late Hajia A’isha Alhassan was an indigene of Mokwa Local Government of Niger state.

According to a statement,  late Alhassan died of multiple organ failure on Monday at King Faiz Hospital in Makkah.

May Allah grant the duo and all our departed souls Aljanat Firdaus.
