…applauds NAHCON, State Boards’ excellent performance
The 2023 Hajj exercise has come and gone but it memories will continue to linger in the minds of pilgrims.
To a Borno State born Alhaji Ali Bako, the 2023 Hajj exercise has afforded him a golden opportunity to achieve his long time dream of casting a glance at, and personally observe solats in, the two Houses of Allah in Makkah and Madinah.
Also added glitz and glamour to his participation in Hajj was the visitation to some historical landmarks in Islam situated in Makkah and Madinah of which he had, since tender age, been hearing about and hoping to see.
Fielding questions from Highprofile in Masjid-L- Haram shortly after the Jumuah prayer, Alhaji Bako gave thanks to Allah for making it possible for him to be part of those that partook in this year Hajj.
Bako however gave kudos to the Management of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Ogun State Pilgrimage Welfare Board for working round the clock to ensure that Nigerian pilgrims received the best treatment in Saudi Arabia against all odds.
“I had a very scintillating experience throughout the spiritual exercise. The experience I had further confirmed to me that Islam is a unique and complete religion”.
“From Madinah to Makkah and to Muna, to Arahah and back to Muzdalifah where we picked 49 pebbles and straight to Jamarat where made the first symbolic stoning, also to Jamarat where we threw seven stones out of 49 pebbles and back to Muna where we spent two nights and threw 21 pebbles in each of the two days.
He explained that the high level of charity being displayed by well meaning people in Saudi Arabia and other countries of the world for the pilgrims during the exercise couple with existence of cordial interpersonal relatiinship expecially between the whites and blacks made everyone to feel important, thereby allowing love, affection and brotherhood to radiate among the guests of Allah.
“Alhamdulillah we started well and we ended it well. May Allah (SWT) accept it from us and make it Hajj mabrur and grant us journey mercies back to our various destinations”
