The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrimage Welfare Board said it has completed airlifting of the 3,549 pilgrims from the state to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir disclosed this today in a statement signed by the Board’s press Secretary, Hajia Jumoke Jimoh and made available to the newsmen in the state.
The Secretary therefore thanked the state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for the timely released of funds for the Board that led to the seamless and hitch-free airlift of all the state quotas to Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the the last batch of pilgrims shortly before they left Nigeria, The Estu Patigi l, Alhaji Umar Bologi who is the Amirul Hajj for 2023 Hajj in Kwara State, appealed to the pilgrims to obey all the laid-down rules and regulations guiding their stay in the Holy Land, and be focused on the main purpose on embarking the journey.
He also urged them to refrain from all illegal and illegitimate dealings and conduct but to comport themselves in a civilized manner in order not to tarnish the enviable image of the State and Nigeria at large.
The last batch was led by Hamir Hajj, Alhaji Umar Bologi, the Board Secretary Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, S. A legal Barrister Muritala Sambo, Former S.A. Religion,Alh Dan Magoro, and Board CFA Hajia AbdulHameed Abdullahi Taibat.
