The Oluawo of Erin-Ile, Chief Awoyemi Abimbola has said the oracle would be allowed to select the right person that would succeed the late Elerin of Erin-Ile, Late Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusookun.
He also promised that whosoever is selected by the Oracle would be announced by the king makers in the process.
Chief Awoyemi Abimbola stated this while addressing media in Erinle, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He further said the process is going to be transparent, adding that interest of all the people and the community would be protected especially those interested in occupying the position of the Elerin of Erin-Ile.
Chief Abimbola who is also the Aare Ise for Africa Traditional religion in Nigeria assured that he would not be biased in the process of choosing whosoever is going to succeed the late Elerin of Erin-Ile, late Oba AbdulGaniyu Olusokun
He also promised that the king makers would not put sentiment in the selection process of selecting the new Monarch as the community has its own tradition and custom for the selection of rulers adding, “we are going to duly follow the costom and tradition as laid down”.
In the tradition of Erin-Ile, it’s the Oracle that appoints rulers and not by religion
According to Aare, late AbdulGaniyu Ajibola was a kind of leader who preaches love, honest, unity among the people.
He advised the people of the town not to religion and other difference separate them but to remain as one family in the interest of the Erin Ile .
” We should follow and accept the outcome of the Oracle and kingmakers “. He appealed
Those of us that have roles to play in the selection of the new Elerin of Erin Ile should be transparent and honest with the assignment
Oluawo Abimbola while sympertizing with the entire community, described the late Elerin as a remarkable, honest and peace loving ruler who was committed to the development, peace, and advancement of Erin-Ile and its people in his life time.
Chief Abimbola said the people never expected the passing away of the great ruler now , saying that death is inevitable .
He however described the death of Abdulganiyu Ajibola Olusookun II, as a monumental loss to Kwarans and the entire national considering his fatherly roles to the people and the nation at large.
