Presidential Inauguration: Give peace a chance, Hijrah Organization urges aggrieved Nigerians

The Hijrah Organization of Nigeria, National Headquarters, Ilorin, Kwara state,  has  called on Nigerians who are insisting to embark on sedition over the planned transition of the new government of the President-Elect, Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President-Elect, Senator Kassim Shetima, to allow peace to reign by taking all grievances through legal means under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 


The organization through its National Chairman, Professor Badmas Lanre Yusuf, made the call after her monthly meeting held at the late pioneer Grand Khadi, Sharia Court of Appeal, Ilorin, Justice Abdulkadir Orire’s mosque, GRA, Ilorin.


The organization also called on world superpower countries across the globe to discourage the move by some countries to legalize same-sex marriage as a way of life, adding that allowing such will be disastrous to humanity as it will also go against the tenant of Islam that the Muslims vowed to uphold. 


“Such is also preparing for a war with Allah, who has, in all aspects discouraged such acts as an act of devil and must be discouraged”, they said. 


“We call on Nigerians who chose to embark on sedition over the planned transition of the new government of the President-Elect and his Vice President-Elect, to allow peace to reign. We also urged them to take all grievances through legal means under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, he said. 


The organizations appealed to all warring factions in Sudan to also allow peace to reign and for easy passage of people from other countries to fly over their air space for the Hajj, which is a spiritual rite for Muslims all over the globe, however, called on Federal Government to write to the UNO  to direct the country to open their airspace for the period of the Hajj. 


The statement reminded Chief Imams across the state, members, and stakeholders of the organization, of the forthcoming workshop for the Chief Imams, scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the IMAN Center opposite New Eid ground, Irewolede, Ilorin, beginning from 10:00 am.
“As part of our drive to encourage and advise Imams in the country on the modality of preaching and coordinating gatherings, we will organize a workshop on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the IMAN Center opposite New  Eid ground, Irewolede, Ilorin, beginning from 10:00 am, with special prayers for the success of the State governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration and all the elected Muslim politicians in the state and at the National Assemblies”, he said. 


Meanwhile, the organization also, to fulfill her religious obligations, appointed a retired Director at the Ministry of Education, Kwara State, Dr Nasir Balogun, as the new Treasurer, after the demise of the former Treasurer, Alhaji Saka Agarawu, who died early this year after a brief illness.
