The Chairman Board of Trustees of a Non Governmental Organisation, Likeminds Foundation, Dr Yusuf Lawal has commended the foundation for providing a brighter future for Ilorites and Kwarans at large.
The Chairman also enjoined well meaning people of Ilorin Emirate to always commit their resources towards the growth and development of the Emirate.
Lawal lauded Likeminds Foundation and it’s members at the foundation’s 2022 AGM/Dinner held at Viva Suites along reservation road, Ilorin.
Dr Lawal described the involvement of the people in community development as very important in order to address some of the problems and challenges facing the people.
He also thanked all the members of the Likeminds Foundation for their contributions to their country home and people.
He informed that the names of all the members of the Foundation and the foundation would forever be written in Gold in the heart of Ilorin people because of their selfless services to humanity and service to Allah.
in his address, the President of the foundation, who spoke through the Vice-President, Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullahi hinted that the foundation has, within the two years, spent five million naira(N5m) to trained over 100 Youth in Ilorin on free Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Atanda also said the foundation distributed food items to the less privileged and selected indigent Muslims in 30 mosques across Ilorin metropolis during the Ramadan period.
The Vice Chairman however advised the beneficiaries of the free Information Communication Technology of Likemind Foundation to use the skills they acquired at the training to better their lives and to also contribute into the development of Ilorin and also assist the people and their families accordingly.
He pledged that the foundation would continue to come up with activities that will uplift standard of living in Ilorin.
The events was well attended by distinguished personalities, members of the Foundation, friends and family of members of the Likemind Foundation at the different venues of the program.
The Chairman, Organising Committee, Alhaja Ahmed Alasirin expressed appreciation to all members of the association for their support towards the success of the two Programmes.
Alasirin thanked members of Likeminds Foundation and guests for their large turn out at the programmes.
