Accolades as KWASU records clean sweep victory in accreditation status


Kwara State University, Malete, the Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship, has again recorded 100% victory in the latest round of academic programmes presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC). 


This success story was contained in a letter signed by the Registrar of the institution, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, and made available to highprofile news.


In a letter to the Vice-Chancellor of the Institution and signed by the Director of Accreditations of the Commission, Dr. Maryam Sali, KWASU was successful in all the eleven academic programmes presented in the  October/November 2021 round of accreditation exercise.


The programmes which are in the areas of Engineering, Basic Medical Science, Law, Environmental Science, Administration, Science and Arts will enhance KWASU’s drive to produce quality human resources in the different disciplines for the advancement of the country.


The programmes which received accreditation are Common Law, Common and Islamic Law, Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Zoology, and Material Science.


The others are Medical Laboratory Science, Yoruba Language, Public Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Fine and Applied Arts.


In a message to the KWASU Community, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN congratulated staff and students of the University for the feat.


Professor Akanbi while noting that the latest success is a further call to more advancement, commitment and dedication from all the University Community also pledged the readiness of his administration to support staff and students who are pushing the frontiers of knowledge, innovation, and community development.


In their separate comments, some staff and students of the institution ascribed the clean sweep victory recorded in accreditation exercise to the good leadership style of the Vice Chancellor, Professor M. M. Akanbi SAN.


They rejoiced with the Vice Chancellor, staff, students and parents over the accreditation feat.
