Bazarab foundation committed to humanitarian services- Balogun


The Chief Executive Officer and founder of Bazarab Educational Foundation, Dr Zainab Bola Balogun has said that the cardinal objectives of her foundation are to provide humanitarian services and support government in it’s bid to make life more bearable for the teaming Nigerians.


She added that the foundation would leave no stone unturned in supporting all government programmes and policies towards making life more meaningful for the populace.


Dr Balogun made the pledge at the weekend when the foundation mobilized it’s members to voluntarily participate in the weekly environmental sanitation programme in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.


She said the foundation was formed for humanitarian services and to equally serve as helping hand to government  in order to add more value to the society through execution of projects and programmes that are of immense support to the community.


Dr Balogun who led members of the foundation on the cleaning and disilting of drainage and water ways in various parts of Ilorin, also called on Kwara residents to join hands with the state government in ensuring a cleaning environment.

Dr Balogun noted that achieving a cleaning and disease free environment, was a collective responsibility of all and sundry. 
She stressed the need for attitudinal change among residents of the state,  adding that the act of dumping refuse on the drainage and water ways must be discouraged. 


She called on community development associations and residents of various communities to take environmental sanitation of their communities upon themselves, maintaining that government could only do little in the area of environmental sanitation. 


She assured that the foundation would continue to partner with government in the area of sensitization and environmental sanitation as one of the core objectives of the foundation.

The foundation goes round Ilorin metropolis on monthly basis for cleaning of environment to complement government efforts on environmental day. Part of places visited and worked by the foundation included new Yidi road, state General hospital roundabout and several other places.
