Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) under the Leadership of Hajia Rafiah Sanni, the National Amirah, congratulates Muslims across the Globe on the holy month of Ramadan, the fasting season of the Muslims.
The association described the holy month as an increasing opportunity for spiritual upliftment and supplication for Divine intervention on the insecurity challenges, spiritual support for our leaders and other requests.
It added that the Ramadan month is a time for self reflection inwhich Muslims are enjoined to fast for self reflection and purified heart. A fasting Muslims abstain from food, drink and worldly fulfilment from dawn till dusk, throughout the fasting days.
FOMWAN in a statement jointly signed by the National Amirah and National Public Relations Officer; Hajia Rafiah Sanni and Alhaja Maimuna Momodu respectfully, also appeals to all insurgents, agents of destruction and evil machineries to shun all form of vices and embrace peace in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.
It appeals to all market women to ensure sales and purchases are carried out with the fear of Allah and earned reward but not to compound the financial tension and other economic challenges starring the Nation in the face.
FOMWAN enjoined Muslims to remain steadfast and uphold the regular 5 Daily prayers, increase charity, night prayer and regular reading of the Holy Qur’an and participating in other rewarding activities, reduce interactions with the social media in order to have full focused time with Almighty Allah.
