The Elesha and entire people of Oke-Ode in Ifelodun Local Government area have expressed gratitude to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdukRazaq, for approving the appointment of an illustrious daughter of the town, Alhaja Muinat Ibrahim, as the substantive Provost of the College of Nursing, Oke-Ode.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Publicity Secretary of the Oke Ode Community, Alhaji Nasrudeen Sallaudeen and Mr. Kunle Akogun respectively, they also thanked the State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Barrister Senior Ibrahim Suleiman, for finding Alhaja Muinat Ibrahim, who had been acting on that position for some time now, suitable for recommendation for the substantive appointment.
The community described the governor’s gesture as characteristic of a fair and just leader, who does not fail to recognise and reward competence, industry, hard work, dedication, and loyalty to constituted authority.
While assuring the governor that the new Provost would not disappoint him, the community urged Alhaja Muinat to work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in her by the state government.
In particular, the Elesha told the Provost to always have in mind the legacy of hardwork, probity, and ‘omoluabi’ spirit for which Oke-Ode is globally renowned to take the College of Nursing to greater heights.
