Read kwara Commissioner’s advice on Rorobins

The Kwara State Government has advised residents to ensure appropriate disposal of wastes in Ilorin, the state capital in order to support the government in her concerted efforts to keep the srate clean and habitable.


The Commssioner for Environment, Mrs. Remilekun Banigbe gave the advice today in Ilorin during an unscheduled visit to some places within the metropolis where rorobins are designated.


Mrs. Banigbe, according to a statement signed made available to newsmen by the Press Secretary of the Ministry,  Okanlawon Taiwo, was accompanied on the visit by the Chairman, Taskforce on Environmental issues, Alhaji Jiddah AbdulRazaq.

She disclosed that government had deployed the newly constructed rorobins to strategic places within the state capital.


The Commissioner, who also enlightened the public on the usage of the rorobins, implored them to make proper use of  the bins so as not to cause any health hazard to the people.


Mrs. Banigbe while speaking with traders at Oja Oba market, said the present administration was trying everything humanly possible to make life conducive for all and sundry.


She, however, sought the support of the people of the state to cooperate with the government and follow all the guidelines on the appropriate use of the rorobins.


Among the places visited include Oja Oba market, Oja gbooro, Baboko junction, Oja tuntun, Ipata market, Omoda and Sango area, among others.
