The Kwara South Youth Stakeholders has inaugurated new State executives and Coordinators for the 16 Local Areas of the State that would pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.
The New executives include Prince Olalekan Bashir as Chairman, Alh Wale Babatunde Vice Chairman, Hon Gbenga Bakinde Secretary, Mr Kola Adeniji Assistance Secretary, Hon Shamsudeen Bada Financial Secretary, Hon Doyin Fatigun Treasurer and Mr Akeem Nurudeen Public Relations Officer
The Local Government Areas Coordinators are, Sunday Adewoye- Isin, Odunjo Adio, Ekiti Adewale adekanye, Oyun, Dr Kayode Dele, Oke Ero, Remi Adegoke, Offa, Alatise Saheed, Irepodun and Prince Yinka Aliyu, Ifelodun Local government.
The Chairman, Board of Trustee (BOT) of the association, Otunba Alabi Olalekan at the inauguration of the new Executives at Igbomina House, Olunlade area, Ilorin enjoined them so see their new position as a call to serve.
Otunba Olalekan said the Kwara South Youth Stakeholders was a child of necessity whose idea was conceived and actualized by group of politiccally consciousness youth.
The BOT Chairman informed that recently as a way of rejiging the composition of the new Executive and the local government coordinators.
In his acceptance speech, the new Kwara State Chairman of the association, Prince Olalekan Bashir described his inauguration as a turning point in the annals of the association.
Prince Bashir said, the idea of the association was borne out of genuine intention of providing a platform for kwara south youth and a voice in the scheme of things but at the political and governmental levels.
According to him, the organization means different things to different people, saying that his administration would bring a positive change to the association.
He mentioned that, Kwara southerners are naturally known for their enterprise and ingenuity.
Olalekan promised that, his leadership would bring these sterling qualities the senatorial district is known of to bear in their day-to-day running of the association and therefore call on all well meaning kwara southerner to join us in the attainment of this novel and lofty goals.
In his goodwill message, Engr Kola Shittu said the roles of youth in development cannot be overemphasized.
He however appreciated the support of two former Kwara State Governors, Dr Bukola Saraki, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, BoT Chairman Otunba Olalekan Alabi and some politicians in the State for their support.
