Covid 19: Bolaji Abdullahi distributes hand sanitizer in Ilorin

Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has distributed instant hand sanitizer to 3,000 people in Ilorin metropolis as part of precautionary measures to stem the spread of Coronavirus pandemic in kwara state.


The items were presented to the beneficiaries today (March 29, 2020) through the Bolaji Abdullahi (Omoluabi) Medical Outreach in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.


Speaking during the presentation exerxise, the Chairman of Committee for Omoluabi Movement, Alhaji Babatunde Sidiq, said the gesture was to serve as a preventive measure to gaurd against  contacting this contagious viral disease called Covid 19.


He said the items are targeted for the people of Ilorin West Local Government area of the state, particularly  Alanamu, Ubandawaki and  Adewole Wards among others.


Other beneficiaries of the hand sanitizer according to Alhaji Sidiq included market women, Alangua forum, Kwara United Sports Club, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), some selected Development Associations, Transport Workers among others.

Alhaji Sidiq, who was a retired Permanent Secretary in the Kwara state Civil Service, called on people to adhere strictly to the medical advice and follow the directives of the constituted authorities in line with the social safety measure to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the country.


The Omoluabi Movement’s chairman also called on other well meaning Kwarans and Corporate bodies to emulate Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi’s kind gesture so as to collectively kick out Covid 19 from the country.
