Change of baton: Adangba youth advised to prioritize Community oriented programmes

The President of Adangba Youth Development Association, Mallam Garba Saka Ladan has advised Nigerian youth to be vanguard of positive change by avoiding acts inimical to the progress and stability of the country.

Mallam Saka Ladan gave the advice shortly after the inauguration of his led executive members held at Adangba, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.

While describing youth as leaders of tomorrow, he enjoined youth to put the interest of the country first in all their undertakings.

Ladan solicited the support of prominent indigenes of Adangba community in ensuring that his focus in initiating youth oriented programmes was achieved.

He appreciated members for the confidence reposed on him and promised to justify the trust, saying that “to my team, this is a call to selfless service, it is important to work with good and pure heart”.

He said the door of his administration would always be opened for suggestions and other information that would be useful to the success of his administration, assuring that the development of Adangba community would be the watchword of his administration.

In his remark, the outgone President of the association, Dr.  Busari Toyin Isiaka, said the past years had been very challenging but appreciated God for seeing them through the task of contributing to the development of Adangba community.

He urged the new executive members to continue with the good his administration had achieved and do something better in order to leave good memories in the heart of the community.

He appreciated the support of his executive members and elders in the community, adding that he was able to succeed through a collective decision and consultation.
In his brief sermon, Ustaz Tajudeen Omoleyin said it was very regrettable that many youth had failed to realize the purpose of their existence in life.

He observed that “any community that failed to attach great importance to the development of youth is doomed”, warning youth against being used as instruments of destruction.

A trained youth according to him, would grow up as a responsible citizen, while untrained ones would grow up as liability to the community.

He urged youth in Adangba community to retrace their steps and place interest of the community above personal interest.

The executive members inaugurated at the event included Saka Babatunde Luqman, Vice President; Basheer Luqman, General Secretary; Ajisefini Abdulganiyu, Assistant General Secretary; Oba-Abdullateef Eleburuke, Financial Secretary; Yusuf Ridwanullahi, Treasurer; Muyideen Surajeen,P.R.O l; Daud Musbaudeen Olosan, P.R.O ll; Sambo Basheer, Social Director l and Ahmad Olorombo who emerged as the Social Director ll.
