The third edition of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) sponsored tertiary institutions football competition has been scheduled to hold between September 22nd to 29th, 2019, at the University of Ilorin.
The decision was reached after the meeting of the Main Organising Committee (MOC), coordinated by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Alhaji Shuaib Akanbi Abdulkadri, on Wednesday.
Alhaji Abdulkadri assured of the readiness of the MOC to organise a befitting competition that will lift the standard of institutions Games in Nigeria.
While inaugurating the MOC, he charged members to put in their best, to justify their selection.
He commended the sponsors for introducing and supporting the initiative, which he said, is fact becoming a tradirion, after its introduction three years ago.
The 16-team format competition is being competed by participants from the Nigeria University Games (NUGA), Nigeria Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA), Nigeria College of Education Games (NACEGA) and Innovative Entrepreneur Initiative (IEI).
College of Education, Minna and Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Kaduna won the first and second editions of the competition in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
As usual, the competition will be played in two centers, University of Ilorin Mini Stadium and the Kwara Football Academy pitches at the State Stadium Complex.
