Kwara: Governor Abdulrazaq sets to appoint seven Advisers

The Kwara State House of Assembly has given approval to Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq’s request to appoint seven Special Advisers

The Speaker of the House, Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu read the letter of the Governor today (Tuesday August 6, 2019) on the floor of the House seeking for the House approval to appoint seven Special Advisers.

The governor in his letter said he forwarded the letter to the House in line with the provision of section 196 (1) of the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria which enables the House to grant the governor an approval to appoint special Advisers.

Governor Abdulrazaq said the appointment of Special Advisers would further enhance the operation of the government and ease the distribution of the dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

“In line with provision of section 196 (1) of the 1999 constitution of the federal republic which enables the House to grant me the approval to appoint my Special Advisers, I hereby seek the indulgence of the honourable house to appoint seven Special Advisers.

This will further enhance the operation of the government and also ease the distribution of dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

The speaker therefore called on the Clerk of the House to communicate the approval letter to the governor accordingly.
