Engr. Keniebi Okoko
Forum of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria, FCSON, have reaffirmed their commitment to the election of a governorship aspirant, Engr. Keniebi Diton Okoko of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming election in Bayelsa State.
Specifically, the groups expressed strong confidence in the ability of Okoko to transform the state within a short time in office, and therefore urged the support of the Bayelsans for the aspirant.
According to the FCSON’s coordinator, Olasumbo Lawson, the aspirant is a successful business man, entrepreneur, and huge employer of labour who is adequately positioned and eminently qualified to consolidate the good work of Governor Seriake Dickson in the areas of jobs creation and youth empowerment.
Lawson also added in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday that Okoko’s antecedent with enormous grassroots connect placed him at a vintage position to understand the plights and needs of his people if eventually voted into office.
He added that the aspirant is a young politician full of energy, experience and connections across the world to develop the state and improve the living standards of the people.
“We are of the strong view that the person of Engr. Keniebi Okoko is eminently qualified to lead Bayelsa from the shackles and manacles of stagnation into the cynosure of all eyes in the committee of States in the country. Part of the statement read.
“The groups hereby call on PDP delegates to the party guber primaries on September 3rd, to rightly vote and endorse the candidature of Keniebi Okoko.
“This shall be a preparatory endorsement toward his ultimate emergence as the next Executive Governor of the state in the November general election on the platform of PDP”. The statement went further”, he stated.
The groups therefore solicited the support of PDP delegates and Bayelsans at large towards ensuring his emergence as next governor of the state.
