Eid-l-fitr: Oyebanji Calls for tolerance among Kwarans

 

On the occasion of the celebration of the Muslim festival of Eid-el-Fitr across the world, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Alhaji Mashood Oyewole Oyebanji has felicitated with the muslim faithfuls and called on the people of kwara state imbibe spirit of tolerance and patriotism.

In a statement released by his media aide Tunde Razaq Adebayo, he said “I felicitate with all Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Fitr, which marks the completion of the Ramadan fast”.

“I congratulate Muslims in the state and Nigeria as a whole on the successful completion of this month-long spiritual journey of fasting, prayer and almsgiving in obedience to the Divine Command” he said.

In his charge to Muslims, Oyebanji called for tolerance and respect in the state irrespective of tribal, religion and political leanings, in the quest to build a strong and united state.

Oyewole also tasked all Nigerians, to use the season to promote national integration, saying “Eid-el-Fitr is a time of love and goodwill., as It gives a message to love all and hate none.”

He added that despite numerous challenges in the country, hope is not lost, as only tolerance, stronger sense of patriotism and love for one another will help the country surmount her present socio-economic challenges.
