The Chairman and Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Alhaji Alli Sokoto has congratulated the Kwara State Governor-elect, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazak over his landsland victory with a charge to see security of lives and properties as one of his top most agenda.
This advice was contained in a congratulatory message signed on behalf of the Chairman by the Kwara State Commander and the State Secretary of the VGN, Alhaji Saadu Bolorunduro and Alhaji Mumini Omo-owo respectively at Oko-Olowo, the Kwara State headquarters of the group.
Alhaji Alli Sokoto also congratulated National Assembly members-elect, Alhaji Yahaya Oloriegbe, Alhaji Ganiyu Cook Olododo, and Alhaji Yekeen Alajagunsi, as well as all 24 members of the State House of Assembly, describing their victory and success of all All Progressive Party (APC) candidates in the election as a reflection of the people’s asipiration in the state.
The Commander General of the VGN also prayed to Allah to give the Governor-elect and other political office holders the wisdom and knowledge to successfully pilot the affairs of the state and their respective positions.
He appealed to the new Kwara State Governor to strengthen the State security apparatus by supporting the assent of the VGN Security Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The National VGN leader mentioned that if VGN Security Bill is aseented to by the Federal Government, it would reduce the problem of security facing the people of the country by a way of bringing crimes to the nearest minimum.
He promised that VGN would continue to work with the security operatives, particularly the police to ensure safety of lives and properties in the country.
The VGN boss also promised that all the VGN members shall do their work according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The statement however thanked former Special Adviser on Security matters in the state, Alhaji Yinka Aluko for his unalloyed support to the group at all times.
