The Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in kwara state, Hon Razak Atunwa has expressed optimism over his victory in today’s governorship and state assembly polls if the exercise was free, fair and credible.
Atunwa stated this shortly after casting his ballot at Dongari-Iju polling unit in Asa Local Government area of the state.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for ensuring the early arrival of its officers and electoral materials.
He observed that elections in some of the places he visited so far were going peacefully.
Atunwa added that security was not as intimidating as it was witnessed in the last election.
The PDP flag bearer advised the voters to remain peaceful in their conducts throughout the exercise.
Meanwhile there was a pocket of crises in some areas in Ilorin metropolis while most people did not even come out for the exercise.
