LP’s plans for Kwaran Artisans, businesses owners will amaze you

A governorship candidate on the platform of Labour Party (LP) in Kwara state, Comrade Issa Aremu mni, has expressed his wiliness to empower and create enabling environment for artisans and owners of small and large scale businesses in the state if elected as governor in the next year election.

Comrade Aremu made his plans known on Saturday at the 1st Joint Tailors Day ceremony organised by the Nigeria Union of Tailors, Kwara state chapter in conjunction with Association of Kwara state Women Tailors held at Base Ball hall, Adewole area, Ilorin, the kwara state capital.

Aremu gave assurance that Kwara State under Labour Party government would empower tailors and other artisans by creating an enabling environment for them to expand their businesses.

Comrade Aremu who was represented on the occasion by his wife, Hajia Khadijat Issa Aremu, said Labour Party is the only political party with adequate focus on dignity of labour and human sanctity.

He urged the Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT) and other artisans in the state to vote for all candidates of Labour Party in the forthcoming general elections in the state, saying that Labour party is a political party that places utmost priority on workers’ welfare and good living condition.

Also speaking on the occasion, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (NUTGTWN), Comrade Chimezie Sylvester, said the union is an umbrella body for all tailors in the country.

Sylvester promised Nigerian tailors of his union’s readiness to continue to protect their interest and urged them to always relate with NUTGTWN from time to time so as to be adequately carried along and be part of beneficiaries of various opportunities from the union any time the need arises.

Highlights of the occasion included presentation of souvenir and plaque to the celebrants by Comrade Aremu through his wife, Mrs Khadijat Aremu, and supported by members of LP in the state and officials of NUTGTWN from Kaduna state.
