Dr Joseph Adebola
A 2019 gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kwara State, Dr Olajide Joseph Adebola, has pledged to transform the State into a socio-economic hub of the country if elected.
Adebola, who is a medical practitioner, said Kwara would only experience fortunes if the state is led by a focused and purposeful leader, who is passionate about the people.
He declared that he is the right man for the job considering the nature of his profession, where greater emphasis is placed on dignity and sanctity of human life.
The young and vibrant native of Oke-Aba in Isin Local Government Area of the state said the blueprint of the SDP is predicated on good governance and social justice.
Adebola explained that he would bring his experience to bear in ensuring that Kwara became one of the economically fastest growing states in the country using his template of “The Kwara Orange Vision” as a good platform.
“Going by our party’s manifestoes, and in line with the Vision 2020 of Nigeria and Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 of the United Nations, we have put up what we called The Kwara Orange Vision.
“The vision is designed to tranaform Kwara State into one of the fastest growing state socio-economically in Nigeria”, he said.
Continuing, he said, “Being a people oriented person, I’m contesting on the platform of SDP, which has people focused and people driven manifestoes towards good governance and social justice. That itself gives me a edge over other people, bringing together all my experiences that I have had.
“I have worked in several capacities at the national level in the Health Care Sector and some other initiatives I have made across the country in my career path in ‘Sports & Exercise Medicine’, Emergency Medical Service, and Global Electronic Health services in Nigeria” Adebola added.
The gubernatorial hopeful pledged to achieve all his electioneering promises through a well thought out template tagged “LIBERATION MANTRA”.
According to him, the main cardinal focus is embedded in the word “LIBERATION” where ‘L’ stands for leadership by example, the I means infrastructural revolution, ‘B’ stands for bringing health care services to every nook and cranny of the state, E for Education for all, ‘R’ for reducing poverty, while ‘A’ is accountability in governance, the another ‘I’ stands for Information, Communication, Technology (ICT), the ‘O’ means open up all the roads to connect all the three senatorial districts of the state, while the last ‘N’ stands for No to corruption.
He said Kwara is endowed with arable land, adding that one of his set goals is to make Kwara State a hub for transportation of goods and services, a hub for agriculture and allied industry, a hub for solid mineral industry, a hub for health and educational industries, a hub for ICT services, and a hub for sporting activities.
End.
Let’s all embrace a new start,if we are truly ready to take Kara to the next level. Here is a young, vibrant and understanding leader for us. He’ s a selfless and trustworthy
