
As part of his contributions to the success of the forthcoming Ilorin Emirate Durbar celebration, the founder of a Non Governmental Organization, Saliu Mustapha Foundation, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has donated two horses to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
Mallam Mustapha said the gesture was part of his token to the success of the ethno religious festival which would be held on the second day of Eid-el-Kabir festivities at the frontage of the Emir’s Palace.
According to him, Durbar being the highest ancestral heritage festival in Ilorin Emirate, it behoves on well meaning individuals from the Emirate to contribute meaningfully towards having good festival.
Mallam Mustapha stressed the need to enhance the annual festival and increase participation of Ilorin indigenes.
The Founder of the Foundation who presented the two horses to the Emir in the presence of the Chairman of Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee, Engineer Suleiman Yahaya Alapansanpa, said the festival would project, preserve and sustain the culture and tradition of Ilorin Emirate.
Responding, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari thanked Mallam Saliu Mustapha for his laudable contributions to the success of the forthcoming Durbar and for impacting on the lives of the people of the state.
Alhaji Sulu Gambari used the opportunity to task other wealthy indigenes of the Ilorin Emirate to always touch the lives of the people and support the Durbar festivities.
