The death has been announced in Ilorin of a distinguished public servant and a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Ayinla Olomoda.
Alhaji Olomoda died at 83 in Abuja during a brief illness.
Alhaji Ayinla Olomoda, a thorough- bred Public Servant,retired from the services of the Kwara State Government as a Permanent Secretary in 1991,after serving as such in several ministries, departments and agencies.
He was, thereafter, elected as a Senator who represented Kwara Central Senatorial District between 1992 and 1993.
He was also an erstwhile Member of the Federal Judicial Service Commission in which capacity he served until last year.
Senator Olomoda was a calm,principled and selfless community leader who took life as a simple and transient phenomenon.
He was a remarkably unassuming personality and quite religious gentleman who is well-respected for his erudition and commitment to the growth and development of the nation.
