Late Alhaja Adeezat Ajike Onileoye, the Iya Adini of Olohun Sogo Mosque, Sango area, Ilorin has been described as a loving, kindhearted and Godfearing philanthropist who used her wealth and health for the cause of Islam and promotion of humanity.
The encomiums were passed on her on Saturday (February 3rd, 2018) by scores of people, including the clerics, family, friends, and those who have benefited in one way or the other from her kind gesture when she was alive.
Late Onileoye who was one of the major distributors of Cadbury Nigeria, makers of Bournvita as well as other related provisions in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, answered the call of the nature on January 29th, 2018 when she had her last breath on the surface of earth after a brief illness.
Leading the fidau at Olohun Sogo Mosque, the Imam of the mosque, Alhaji Abdulkareem Kamaldeen described late Adeezat Onileoye as a major contributor for the construction of Olohun Sogo Mosque.
Imam Kamaldeen who admitted that members of the mosque congregation would sorely missed the Iya Adini, disclosed that her contribution to construction of the mosque right from foundation level to the completion stage was enormous and substantial.
He prayed God to grant the departed souls Aljanat firdaus and give the family, the entire members of the mosque, and members of the QUAREEB the fortitude to bear the loss.
In his sermon at the Fidau, the Deputy Imam of Olohun Sogo Mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Bello described death as a necessary end of all and sundry and admonished Muslim faithful to always do good at all times saying that death is more real than the reality.
Sheikh Bello extolled the virtues of late Onileoye describing her as very sincere, accommodating, generous and loving mother who believed in putting smiles on the faces of whoever came her way.
Also speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Usman Salahudeen Yusuf, hinted that late Onileoye built another Mosque at Oke-Oyi where he leads prayer as the Imam, and thanked God for the life of late Hajia Onileoye for being able to complete the construction of the mosque before she left this sinful world.
While addressing the journalists shortly after the prayer session, one of the children of the deceased, Alhaji Mashood Aigoro described his late mother as a successful business mogul whose impact is being felt across the state and beyond.
Aigoro who admitted that he would sorely miss his mother, said his late mother was a mother to all as she cared about other children the same way he did to her biological children.
He said his late mother was a successful, famous, and celebrated distributor of confectioneries whose contributions to service of God and humanity is worthwhile and profound.
Hajia Adeezat Ajike Onileoye, died on 29th of January 2018 at the age of 80 years after a brief illness and survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Highlight of the event included the special prayer by members of the QUAREEB Islamic association.
