Prayers, felicitations as Al-amin clinches the post of permanent secretary

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary to the Kwara State Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Alhaji Amosa Isiaka Al-amin has been described as an astute administrator and a kindhearted senior civil servant who has been using his position and connection to touch the lives of people positively.

The commendations were made at the weekend by the people of Gambari District in Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state during a special prayer that was jointly organised by the Gambari District for the new permanent secretary.

The prayer session which featured commendations and encomiums on the celebrant was attended by large number of people including the Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Adebayo (The Senior Balogun); The Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman Damborno; the State Attorney General, Barrister Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN);

Others include the Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Sheikh Suliaman AbdulAzeez: the Magaji Baare of Ilorin; the former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Cook Olododo, some traditional rulers, sons and daughters of Gambari District which comprises of Gambari wards I and II, Ibagun and Zango wards among others.

The Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman AbdulAzee led the prayer session and supported by notable Islamic scholars in the area like Professor Yusuf Lanre Badmus, Dr. Sayuti Ologele, Sheikh Sannu Shehu, Sheikh Abdulrasak Aduagba and others numerous to mention.

Imam Gambari who described Al-amin as an Illustrious son of Gambari and Kwara state, in general, prayed God to lead him through in his new state assignment.

Imam AbdulAzeez attributed a large number of people who trooped to the prayer as a manifestation of the fact that the celebrant is loved by all.

The cleric urged the permanent secretary to continue the good behaviour people have been identifying him with, assuring him that more glad tidings are coming his way if he continues to be a good ambassador of his people.

In his lecture at the occasion, Sheikh Sulaiman Damborno admonished Nigerian leaders and those in various positions of authority to show love to the masses and make themselves available for people to feel their presence in terms of good service delivery.

Damborno urged leaders to embrace unity and togetherness among themselves and cultivate the habit of being sensitive to the plight of the masses so as to make the society more habitable for the poor masses and for themselves.

Sheikh Dambarorno affirmed that there can not be peace and harmony in a society where leaders are stinkingly rich and the vast majority of the populace are wallowing in the ocean of abject poverty.

In his comment shortly after the prayer, the new Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Amosa Isiaka Al-amin thanked everybody that contributed in one way or the other to his elevation to the position of permanent secretary, promising that he would do his best to turn around the fortune of his ministry.

Al-amin who was overwhelmed with the turn out of the people at the prayer said their love and affection to him would spur him to justify the love and confidence they reposed in him.

Also speaking on the sideline of the event, the Chairman of Balogun Gambari Youth Movement, Mallam Mukaila Garba Sefura expressed confidence that the new permanent secretary will perform up to expectation.
