Omupo cottage hospital delivers 9 babies two weeks after commissioning

The maternity wing of the Omupo Cottage Hospital in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State has delivered Nine babies in two weeks after the maternity was commissioned by His Excellency, Alhaji  Abdulfatah Ahmed penultimate Tuesday.

Speaking with journalists yesterday, the Medical Officer in charge of the hospital, Dr. IsmailIsmail  disclosed that,”the first baby was delivered on Thursday two days after commissioning at 1:05am”

He said that with the state government’s support in provision of equipment before the commissioning, the hospital is now well equipped to attend to patients, adding,” have gone on to deliver nine babies including a Caesarean section done in the early hours of today..”

Dr. Bakare added that Omupo is setting the pace for all communities without any geographic enclave..

While thanking everyone that has supported the project, Dr. Bakare said, “When we decide to better our future, we can never be wrong. Thank you all for trusting in our abilities at Cottage hospital Omupo..We’re grateful”.

Dr. Bakare, who also believed that “humanity will never forget this crop of Omupians..” ,added, ” I am proud to be associated and involved”.

Commenting on the development, the President of Omupo Descendants Union, Dr. Monisola Sola Afolabi appreciated God, the Olomu of Omupo, and sons and daughters of Omupo and prayed for more success.
