Kwara State University (KWASU) has announced the appointment of Professor Sulaiman Sheu Adua as the new Dean of Student Affairs. According to a letter signed by the Deputy Registrar, HRD, Mrs. Josephine Agbana, on behalf of the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, the appointment is for a two-year term.
As a seasoned academic and administrator, Professor Adua brings a wealth of experience to his new role. A professor of Islamic History in the Department of Religions, he holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree from the University of Ilorin. As a pioneer staff member of KWASU, Professor Adua has served in various capacities, including member of the Examination Monitoring Committee, admissions committee, Chair of the Welfare Committee, Director of the Centre for Advanced and Basic Studies, and Coordinator of the KWASU-CAILS foundation program.
Professor Adua’s appointment as Dean of Student Affairs is expected to further enhance the university’s commitment to student welfare and development. Notably, he will be delivering KWASU’s 18th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
