A Sergeant Of Correctional Officer with Texas Department Of Criminal Justice United States of America (USA) Correctional Service, Prince Nasirudeen Alebiosu has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to, as a matter of urgency, give ascent to the local Vigilante Bill.
Prince Alebiosu, a Nigerian USA based, has also expressed sadness over the recent killing of Olukoro of Koro in Ekiti Local Government HRH retd General Segun Aremu on Thursday.

He charged the security agencies in Kwara State to ensure that the perpetrators are fished out ,and the Wife of the ruler with other people been kidnapped by the suspects are released
The Sergeant Of Correctional Officer and Security Expert attributed part of the causes of the insecurity in the country to unemployment.
According to him, the Vigilante Bill was presented at the floor of the Nigeria Senate and it was passed by the Senate under the leadership of Dr Bukola Saraki as the Senate President.
” It is good to note that the Vigilante Bill was presented by two different leaders of the VGN during their tenures to the Nigeria Senate. Both under the leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki and Senator Ahmed Lawal and the bill was passed. This is a strong indication that the two Senate President and members acknowledged the importance of Vigilante to the Nigeria Security. It was presented to 8th and 9th Senates. Let me also inform you that the Navy Umar Bakori(rtd) has recently visited the Nigeria Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun to reiterate the commitment of VGN that war against crime in Nigeria is the responsibility of the group . ” he added
“After the Vigilante Bill was passed by the Senate, it’s now waiting for the Presidential ascent. I want to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give approval to the bill”, he said.
He described President Tinubu as a knowledgeable and intelligent person who has traveled across the globe with lots of experience on governance and security.
“He is a man who loves and appreciates a very peaceful society and the people of Nigeria so much”.
He added that President Tinubu, since he assumed office in May 2023, has determined to end all forms of crimes and criminalities in the country and harms carried out serious efforts.
Alebiosu informed that the various steps and supports given to the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Army, Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other security operatives have yielded positive results under the present administration.
He thanked President Tinubu for demonstrating passion for justice and safe environment through his good leadership.
He mentioned that the Vigilante Bill is waiting for the President Tinubu’s ascent. “If the Vigilante Bill receives the Presidential approval, it will go a long way in reducing the level of insecurity in Nigeria “.
He added that “President Tinubu, because of his interest in the development of Nigeria, came to United States of America to woo investors particularly Nigerians and the people are ready to come home to contribute meaningfully but the only thing that is giving us a serious concern is insecurity”.
He frowned at alarming rate of insecurity especially the case of kidnapping and killing of the innocent victims, even after the kidnappers have collected huge amount of money from their victims.
Prince Nasirudeen Alebiosu who also pympertise with all the victims of kidnapping and their families.
He prayed Allah to forgive the sins all the security operatives that have lost their lives to the war against crimes and those that were killed by their abductors.
He also commended the IGP and officers of the Nigeria Police and all other security operatives for their commitment to ensure that the country is safe
Prince Alebiosu said security issues are very sensitive matter that should not be handled with levity hands, stressing that all stakeholders much have input to stem its tides.
He commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari for his role and support for the members of the Kwara Vigilante and all other security operatives in Kwara.
According to him, the royal father has played so many roles not only uniting the Security Operatives, but also giving all the support that will make the state and the people safe.
He also lauded the Emir of Ilorin for the various achievements and the sustainability of unity among all the security and the Vigilante Groups in Kwara State.
” Under the good leadership of Emir of Ilorin, Kwara Vigilante is now under Harmonized Vigilante”.
He further commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his numerous supports for the security in Kwara State.
The foreign Correctional Officer begged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to increase his support for the Vigilante Groups in Kwara State.
He appreciated the Governor for the recent donation of vehicles and motorcycles to the Vigilante Groups across Kwara State.
He however appealed to the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission to give adequate attention to the welfare of Police officers and men.
He called for a standard insurance programme for all the police and other paramilitary in the country, assuring that the gesture would spur and encourage them to do more for the nation .
Alebiosu also appealed to the Federal Government to provide police with more arms to enable them successfully tackle the incidences of insecurity.
He told the Federal Government to continue to recorgnise the Vigilante Groups, saying that they have sizeable number and they are available at all the towns and villages across Nigeria.
He acknowledged the support of the Vigilante Groups in some of the achievements recorded by the police in Kwara State .
Prince Nasirudeen Alebiosu however advised the Vigilante Groups in Kwara State to continue to operate in accordance with law of the land.
He advised them to always hand over suspects to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
