Tinubu promises new minimum wage, food security in 2024

President Bola Tinubu has promised to implement the new minimum wage in the country in 2024.

Tinubu made the promise in his New Year address to Nigerians on Monday (January1, 2023).

The President stated that the government would cultivate about 500,000 hectares of farmlands across the states to combat hunger in the country.

” We will work diligently to make sure every Nigerian feels the impact of their government. The economic aspirations and the material well-being of the poor, the most vulnerable and the working People shall not be neglected”

“It is in this spirit that we are going to implement a new national living wage for our industrious workers this new year.

He stated that the government is doing this not only for economic reasons but also morally and politically good.
