New Kwara Customs Area Controller assumes duty

Comptroller Kahinde Dehinde Ilesanmi on Friday (January 27, 2023) assumed duty as the new Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Kwara State Command.

The public Relations officer of the state command, Mr Chado Zakari made this known via a press release on Friday (January 27, 2023) in ilorin.

The new Comptroller, who took over from DC Hussaini Jallo who was in acting capacity, had served in various commands in different capacities before his new appointment.

The new NCS Kwara State Command chrged officers and stakeholders to sustain their level of discipline and improve in revenue collection and block outlets of smuggling activities.


Compt. Ilesanmi took over from DC Hussaini Jallo who was in acting capacity; hit the ground running with modern and highly effective strategies for the Command

He was the controller Nigerian Customs Service Board Headquarters Abuja before he was deployed as the Area Controller KWARA Command.

The new controller is expected to hit the ground running with modern and highly effective strategies for the command with a charge to sustain the level of discipline of officers and stakeholders and also improve the revenue collection and block outlets of smuggling activities.

Ilesanmi thanked the controller General of Customs Sevice, Colonel Hameed Ibrahim Ali, CFR and the management team for the appointment, pledging to work in line with the rules and regulations of the services

He said he would continue to act tough against smugglers to get them arrested and seize their illicit goods.

The new area controller however assured that he would assiduously work towards consolidating on the feat attained by his predecessors and solicited for the support and cooperation of the officers and men of the command to effectively manage the affairs of the command toward the suppression of smuggling and other trans-border crimes
