NAHCON,Saudi Ministry of Hajj map out strategy on Hajj 2023

The four day Hajj and Umrah Exhibition holding at Super Dome Centre,in Jeddah came to a close today with a strategic meeting between the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON and the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Assistant Director Information and Publications
NAHCON, Alhaji Mousa Ubandawaki and made available to newsmen in the country.


Discussion between the two sides centred on Pilgrims orientation, Security, Safety,flight schedule and Movements in the The NAHCON delegation which was led by the Commissioner in charge of Planning Research Statistics Information and Library Services (PRSILS), Sheikh Suleman Mommoh,included the Deputy director State and Zone, Alh.Halidu Shutti,Deputy Director, Aviation, Engr Mohammed Goni Sanda, Assistant Director, Office of the Chairman/CEO,Alh. Abdulkadir Oloyin, Coordinator of Hajj Savings Scheme and Hajj Institute,Dr Aliyu Tanko and host of other staff.


In his remarks, Sheikh Suleman expressed appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy mosques through the Ministry for the confidence and trust it had in the commission by restoring the 95,000 Hajj slot to Nigeria for this year’s Hajj and assured that all necessary machinery would be put in place to achieve a successful Hajj outing.


He further expressed delight for the timely release of general guidelines and rules of engagement which are vital and critical to the steps to be taking by the commission especially in the areas of enlightenment, transportation and logistics.


Earlier,Emad Muhammad Mardoum, who is the leader of delegation and also the Head of Tafweej in the Ministry said the kingdom placed a high premium on Safety and Pilgrims education in order to achieve Hajj mabrur and wellness of the pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.


He disclosed that the Ministry had in place multi dimensional approach for this year’s Hajj and therefore enjoined NAHCON to ensure compliance and goals of achieving Hajj mabrur.
The 4 day Hajj and Umrah Expo which kicked off on Monday ended today with over 400 participants which included private tour operators and Hajj Missions across the world.
